About
Microsoft Authenticator provides multi-factor authentication, passwordless sign-in, and password autofill for Microsoft and non-Microsoft accounts. Enable MFA to add a second security layer during login by approving a notification or entering a one-time password (OTP) with a 30-second timer. Use passwordless authentication with your phone, fingerprint, face ID, or PIN instead of a password to access Microsoft products like Outlook, OneDrive, and Office. The app supports multiple accounts including Facebook, Amazon, Dropbox, Google, LinkedIn, and GitHub. Autofill passwords synced from Microsoft Edge or imported from Chrome and other password managers, with biometric or PIN protection required to access saved credentials. For work or school accounts, the app supports certificate-based authentication for secure access to organization resources.
