We collect information you provide directly when you create an account (name, username, email address, password), submit apps, create lists, or add subscriptions.
We also collect usage data such as which pages you visit, what you search for, and which apps you like. This is used only to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and improve the Slocco service
- Send you account-related emails (password resets, verification)
- Personalise your feed and recommendations
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Cookies & Analytics
Essential cookies — always on:
- accessToken — keeps you signed in.
- cookie_consent — remembers your cookie preferences.
Optional analytics cookies — only set if you accept:
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — anonymised usage data such as pages visited and session duration. You can additionally opt out site-wide via Google's browser add-on.
- Ahrefs Analytics — anonymised site performance data.
- Sentry Session Replay — captures interactions on pages that encounter errors to help us debug issues.
Umami Analytics runs on every visit — it is cookieless and collects only aggregate, non-personal statistics.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
4. Data Sharing
We share data with service providers necessary to operate and improve Slocco, including hosting, error monitoring (Sentry), and analytics (Google Analytics, Umami, Ahrefs). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their respective privacy policies.
Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Sentry session replay only run with your consent — error and performance monitoring (Sentry issue tracking) runs on every visit so we can keep the service reliable.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at support@slocco.com with any requests.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
